Preserve. Promote. Revitalize.

Preserving the Legacy

Thank you for your interest in attending the Third Annual Preserving the Legacy Benefit Event.

Please note: the date of the event initially scheduled for Thursday, June 6, has been postponed until Fall 2019.

We will provide additional information as soon as possible.

We regret any inconvenience this has caused.

The Preserving the Legacy Event is the third annual fundraising event for Sweet Auburn Works (SAW), a nonprofit organization that is leading the preservation-based cultural and economic resurgence of Auburn Avenue, a “National Treasure” recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The Event will support the work of SAW by building a diverse and broad base of support, raising funds and shining a spotlight on SAW’s efforts to:

PRESERVE | REVITALIZE | PROMOTE

SAW will showcase another great year of highlights in this celebrated district within the historic walls of Tony Conway’s, The Estate on Piedmont. Guests will be treated to a menu of regional cuisine served in the impressive, remodeled sitting rooms, and even offered a visit to the estate’s wine cellars. All of this is a precursor to the evening’s prime event, a candid and enlightening conversation between two women who might be referred to as the “first ladies” of Sweet Auburn. Henrietta Antonin and Alexis Scott will share their experiences, stories, and some secrets about their times spent living, working, and playing among those who called Sweet Auburn home.
